Spring 2009 is all about “depression chic”, geometric construction, goddess dressing and a wonderfully trashy eighties revival. 
 
This season we are seeing a lot of embellishments such as fabric constructed flowers and bows as well as ruffles and structured details.
Dresses are always key for spring – try shift, patterned, structured, belted and textured dresses
 
Colors: Natural tones like beige and nude, pastels like pink, lavender, green, and blue
Prints: Floral, ethnic and graphic
Fabrics: Transparent and satin
Silhouettes: Slouchy pants, oversized sleeves, structured, belted
Accessories: Statement necklaces, layered bangles, chandelier earrings
Shoes: Heavy hardware, cage shoes, strong platforms, gladiator strappy platforms
